The Patriots dominated this game in all three phases from the outset - and the final score was the only thing in doubt as the Lions never threatened and in fact - never got in the end-zone. The Patriots Defense got consistent pressure on Stafford and harassed him into several mental mistakes. The final score doesn't actually tell the story - as the Patriots had several big plays, including a punt -return for a touchdown by Edelman - called back by penalty. It could have been 40+ for the Patriots, easily.
The Patriots have now defeated 4 division leaders - and look to be the clear class of the AFC at this moment. There's a lot of football remaining and staying healthy will be more of a challenge down the stretch than winning games.
Tom Brady played well and threw for over 300 yards for the 63rd time in his career - an amazing number - however I believe the player of the game should have been Revis - he defensed several passes and broke up a few key third down plays - essentially stoning the Lion offense in the red-zone - no TD's in several trips.
