Game Recap - #NEvsMIA - Tom Brady Shreds #Dolphins Defense, #Patriots Destroy Miami 36-7

The New England Patriots overcame early offensive line struggles due to injury and rode Tom Brady and a surprising Defensive effort to destroy the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football 36-7.

When this game was still in doubt, the Miami Defense stymied the Patriots offense by getting consistent pressure on Tom Brady and keeping the Dolphins in the game while the Pats D shut down Miami's offense. The Patriots got a late TD to take a 19-0 lead into the half. Tom Brady was excellent in the first half even with the offensive line struggles, throwing two TDs - one to Rob Gronkowski and another to the surprising offensive star of 2015 - Dion Lewis. Lewis caught a key first down on a 3 and 16 to extend a drive that ended with a 47 Yard TD from Gronk.

The second half started with the lone bright spot for the Dolphins. Tannehill drove Miami down the field and scored a TD with relative ease to bring the Dolphins within 19-7. It looked like more of a game and when the Miami D held the Patriots to a field goal on the next possession it appeared Miami was ready to fight.

However, Miami never mounted much offense the rest of the game and Tom Brady went on to throw two TD passes to safety blanket Julian Edelman in the 4th quarter to seal the rout. Miami simply couldn't stop Tom Brady from finding the weaknesses and exploiting the key match-ups.

The Patriots improved to 7-0 on the season and face the Washington Football Team next week in Foxboro. Miami fell to 3-4, effectively ending any chance the team had at challenging New England for the division. The Dolphins will have to ramp up the D if they intend to vie for a playoff spot.

Tom Brady is looking like an MVP candidate and barring injury, seems poised to surpass even his 2007 season. So far in the 2015 campaign, Tom Brady has thrown for 2410 Yards in 7 games with 20 TDs and only one interception. He is playing like a man possessed and many an NFL D probably wishes Goodell didn't piss him off with Deflate-gate. Since they took Tom's footballs away from him, he's unbeaten and simply shredding the league. So much for cheating.

Game Preview #Patriots vs #Dolphins #NEvsMIA

The Miami Dolphins ride into Gillette Stadium with a two game win streak under their new interim head coach. The Dolphins D has been playing lights out and can match-up well against an injury depleted Patriot offensive line. Can the Patriots suit up enough bodies to protect quarterback Tom Brady?

The Patriots are facing offensive chemistry issues due to a rash of injuries at both the skill positions and the offensive line. The team suited up an absurdly low 18 offensive players for the game against the New York Jets - and it showed in the execution. The team was off at times, woefully so in the first half. It remains to be seen if the offense can regain the flow it had earlier in the season without getting healthy. Look for the Patriots to call plays that match the healthy offensive personal again tonight as they did in the Jets game.

The Patriots D has struggled all year and is facing a resurgent Dolphins offense. Can the Pats get off the field on third down, which has been a struggle all year? We will see in about 25 minutes. Enjoy the game.

#Patriots Overcome #Jets and Sloppy Play Behind #Brady, Gronk and Amendola

The New England Patriots overcame early offensive struggles and a spirited effort from the New York Jets, led by a Tom Brady comeback in the fourth quarter that featured several big catches by Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola. The Jets caught the Patriots in an injury 'perfect storm' being without offensive line starters and 2015 standout running back Dion Lewis.

The Patriots only dressed 18 offensive players, a very low total for an NFL game. In addition to injury woes, Brandon LaFell was coming off PUP designation and looked terrible. He dropped several passes and was out of sync all day.

The Jets took advantage of Patriots injuries and chemistry issues and stymied the Pats offense for most of the first three quarters. On offense, the Jets overcame an early injury to star running back Chris Ivory and moved the ball well at times. However, the Jets had a key drive end with a FG when they might have iced the game - Brandon Marshall dropped what should have been a TD, forcing the Jets to settle. It was a pivotal moment in the game.

After the Jets FG, Tom Brady took over the fourth quarter, driving the Patriots down the field twice for TDs to seal the game. The Patriots did yield a FG and surrendered an onside kick in the last minute, but the Jets ran out of clock and lost.

Tom Brady once again willed his team to victory, with key contributions from Gronk and Amendola. A solid win for the Patriots considering the injury situation. The Patriots have a short week - facing Miami at home on Thursday Night Football.

#Patriots vs #Jets - Keys to the Game #NEvsNYJ

The Jets bring the number one rated defense in the NFL into Gillette Stadium today to face the 5-0 Patriots. Can the Jets slow Tom Brady? Can they run the ball effectively enough to keep the Pats high powered offense off the field? I look for this to be a close game. The Jets have improved as a team with loud mouth distraction Rex Ryan gone to the Bills. If there was ever a time for the Jets to challenge New England, today is the day.

#Mets Sweep #Cubs to Reach World Series, Daniel Murphy with Performance for Ages, HR Each Game of #NLCS

The Mets completed an authoritative sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley field, 8-3 behind what can only be described as an historic performance from Daniel Murphy. Murphy hit home runs in every game of the series and the last six games in a row, a MLB post-season record. He simply wouldn't make outs and buried the Cubs in this series.

A nod goes to the Mets pitchers that dominated a hot Cubs line-up. From Degrom down to the closer Familia - the entire roster of pitchers handled the Cubs. Hats off to an unbelievable series performance.

The Mets proved to be the much better and more balanced team. The Cubs are young and should reach the playoffs again in the coming years, but this series belonged to New York.
