Tim Hudson takes the mound in San Francisco to try and reverse the momentum gained by the Cardinal's late inning home run heroics in game two. This series is starting to look like it will be a dog-fight.

The game was closer than the final score indicates and also, Colin's game wasn't as clean as his numbers suggest. There were moments in the first half that the Niners struggled on offense and it took a horrible offensive pass-interference call against the Rams to finally swing the momentum towards San Francisco. From that point - the Niners ran off 24 straight points, including an 80 yard bomb to Brandon Lloyd with only seconds left in the first half.
The Key Play from yesterday's big win for the New England Patriots over the Buffalo Bills came on an amazing 43 Yard touchdown bomb from Tom Brady to the new receiver Bryan Tyms. How did it happen? Well, the graphic below shows it better than I can describe in words, so take a look.
The Giants have been getting World Series quality pitching this postseason and hope to continue the effort with Jake Peavy on the mound tonight for game 2 against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Giants lead the best of 7 series, 1-0.
The Patriots struggled to protect Tom Brady in the first half, but in the second, the protection improved and Tom shredded the Buffalo Bill's defense to the tune of 352 Yards on 26-36 passing with 4 touchdowns. However, marring the win were a string of key injuries for the Patriots, including Mayo, Ridley and others.
First game I'm picking - The Panthers to upset the Bengals. Yes, an upset in the making. AJ Green is out. That must change the Bengal offense for the worse.
Second Game - Green Bay over the Dolphins - It's on the road and the Packers are giving 4 points. I don't know if they will cover, but they will win. So, play the moneyline. Third Game - Seahawks will blow out Cowboys - Pick of the week. Yes, I understand this one could blow up in my face as the Cowboy's offensive line looks top-notch. I have Seahawks winning by two touchdowns. Fourth game - Lock of the week - Chargers over Raiders. I know it's a division game, but Rivers looks like a new QB this year and the Raiders look like...well, the Raiders. Fifth game - The Niners will take down the Rams. Again with this game, don't know if San Francisco will cover the spread, so play the moneyline if you must bet this one. Well, there are my five picks. What are your thoughts? Madison Bumgarner Throws 7 2/3 Dominant Innings to Lead #SFGiants Past #Cardinals in Game 1 of #NLCS10/11/2014 For a third straight start this postseason, Bumgarner dominated. He's only allowed 3 runs in 3 starts and again tonight had all the pitches working to shut down the St Louis Cardinals to give the San Francisco Giants a 1-0 lead in this best of 7 series.
It's a double dose of San Francisco meeting St. Louis in two sports this weekend. First up, The San Francisco Giants face the St. Louis Cardinals in game one of the NLCS. This should be a great match-up of two teams that have both won Wold Series Titles in recent years, so both know how to win in the playoffs.
And Second - The San Francisco 49ers face the St. Louis Rams on Monday Night Football. The Rams hope to defend home turf and the Niners hope to build off an exciting win over The Kansas City Chiefs last week. Overall, it's a great weekend of sports - City vs City - The Bay Vs St. Louis. Who will win? JJ Watt was the best player on the field last night and looks like the best player in the NFL, hands down. He dominated and somehow kept the Texans from getting blown out and actually kept them in the game with a stunning 55 yard fumble return for a touchdown. He had 2 sacks, 3 passes deflected, mixed in with 7 tackles. Simply, he was a beast last night. Too bad the rest of his team couldn't match his performance. The Texans simply couldn't cover T. Y. Hilton. Not once all night really. He had 8 catches for 223 yards and a touchdown. He was the difference in a game that the Colts jumped to a quick, commanding 24-0 lead and held on for a tight win in Houston.
