We have become distracted by social issues in this country and are letting our way of life be destroyed by the one percent. Corporate slave Democrats appointed Wall Street executives to almost all financial positions in Government and the result is the current inequality we are facing. These executives hand crafted the Bailouts and basically backed giant trucks up to the US treasury and made off with TRILLIONS. Watch the video below to see one media person that gets it (and there aren't many) At present we have two parties in America--- One, THE DEMOCRATS, are 100% owned by Wall Street and all decisions that are made benefit the owner class. The second, the GOP, are so caught up in social issues to notice or object to the DEMS destroying the country.
We need a new party, one for the majority of us-- that live and work without hope of ever becoming rich. At the present time this country increasingly only works for the rich. If the GOP can just let go of social issues that the MAJORITY of Americans do NOT agree with them on, and focus on stopping the DEMS from handing the treasury over to Wall Street, maybe we might have a shot of turning this around. Maybe. But I doubt it. When I talk to older Americans and all I hear about is anger over Gays getting married, I have a feeling we are screwed. Let's not focus on the real problems, let's obsess over what others do in their bedrooms. Wake up, America. The real enemy is the Plutocrat Class turning you into a slave, not gays marrying, women taking birth control or any other social issue the GOP get caught using all their energy to stop/change. Obviously this comes as no shock to anyone that knows him, he also made a movie mocking religion. So, here is his blast rant from last evening. At one point he calls God a 'baby drowner' or something to that extent. Must see. Perhaps the politicians pushing the minimum wage increase need to change their rhetoric from 'give America a raise' to 'give women a raise', because women occupy most low-wage jobs. Applications are filed, fees have been paid. Now, like all other would-be business owners, I wait on approval, inspections and whatever other red-tape the state of Nevada has in store for me. One more giant step crossed off the list. Very soon I hope to be giving news about the approval of my application. Stay tuned.
CNBC posted a video segment from Jim Cramer's show Mad Money, which is my favorite money show on TV, giving some basic 101 advice in the area of personal investing. Some in the investment community dislike Cramer for his brash television personality, but I say that there is nobody on television giving more pertinent actionable investing advice to ordinary people or 'home gamers' as Cramer likes to call such folk on his television show. In this video segment, Cramer gives advice on where and how much to invest from your current paycheck. This can be an excellent starting video if you are new to investing. Cramer's basic, easy to understand instructions can get you started on the road to financial freedom-- investing your own money. Here is the video. I hope you learn something new and if you have any questions about the topics in this video, feel free to ask in the comments section. Have a great Friday. I posted on Tuesday about music playlists for my writing and listed several songs that are on the list for ELLA edits, find that post here.
While I listed some of the songs on the playlist, I didn't describe how I use this list in my writing/editing and how I build the playlists I use. After the first draft is completed, I read the entire manuscript several times, jotting down songs that might work for each scene. I start building a playlist on iTunes and play the list while I read a scene, adding and subtracting songs that seem to 'fit' with the tone and circumstances. Following the second draft, I have a good idea of the playlist for each chapter. I read over each section again before setting aside the computer. Then, I put on the playlist, close my eyes and allow my mind to 'live' in the chapter through the music. I know the playlist is 'true' when I can see the scene in my mind without forcing or trying or exerting my brain. Once I'm able to visualize the scene in my mind, I can move on to the next stage of editing, removing any needless elements and boiling the chapter down to the essentials. A cruel trimming of useless words is needed and I find the music helps me. I don't take it personally I must cut a section, I simply acknowledge it doesn't 'fit' with the scene (musical playlist) Anyway, that's a glimpse into my writing process using music playlists for each scene. Hope the writers out there can find some kernel of useful action in this post. |
