*FEATURE PRESENTATION* - THE MASSACRE: PART ONE - Stock of the Year - $AAPL Computer #Vegas #NYE

THE MASSACRE
PART ONE
There can be no doubt on stock of the year. It can only be Apple Computer. I applaud the CEO on the excellent ROI. All of you enjoying the party at Holden Farms thrown by Ella are enjoying the fruits of Apple stock gains. The champagne, the food, the butlers, the musicians, the poets, the vendors - all are paid for by money made in trading equities.

Yes, I will speak of stocks on New Year's Eve. Partying? I don't think so. I can have my scotch here, in the privacy of my own chambers and count my money. You may think I'm crazy, but if you had my money - you stay in and count it again too. I bet you.

I told you to buy this stock over 40% return AGO. You should have bought it like I told you. I've been telling a lot of you to buy this one since it traded below 10 and now it's at 110. You should be enjoying Apple bought champagne yourself. Are you?

Pardon, the alarm is going off in my apartments. Funny, there has never been anyone in this wing other than me. I will have to see to this.

I see a man run into my study. He has wild dark brown hair cut like a mop and swishing around his young thin face. I watch him panting and eyeing me. I don't think he wants to run anymore.

"How did you get in here?"

"I read her diary when she passed out. She wrote down the pass-code to this room. She told me it was abandoned."

"You came here to hide?" I ask him. Is he crazy? He looks me in the eyes and doesn't seem afraid of me. What can he be running from?

"I'm running  because they were going to put me on trial tonight."

"Who is putting you on trial?" I ask. This is the first I've heard of a trial.

"The master of this mansion," the man says. He doesn't seem to have emotions. Just dark eyes rimmed with red from lack of sleep.

"Who is that?" I ask. He must be crazy, just like I thought.

            "Ella Thomas."

I laugh and reach into my desk to grab two Cubans. I pass one over the desk and he takes it. "Do you know the name of this mansion?"

            "I do not."

            "The name is Holden Farms."

"Is that a fact? So, who the fuck are you?"

"I'm Ray Holden III. And I can assure you, contrary to what you may believe, I'm the Master of Holden Farms."

The Writing Journey - Part 1 #MondayBlogs

12/29/2014

Good Morning readers,

This will be a multi part post about my writing year and the status of things at Moran Publishing in general. First - I want to thank everyone that follows this blog. It's amazing how much this blog has grown in one year. All the way back - 12 months or so ago when I started this - I saw a few folk a day - and now it's grown into a small crowd of folk. I hope you find entertainment and useful information on stocks and sports.

This year has been a crazy journey - with the big writing highlight the publication of my first book, ELLA. After over two decades of writing and publishing short stories, I finally have my name on a novel - the dream is a reality. Though, I have to say - some days it STILL doesn't feel real.

I know the writing life isn't easy. And to all the independent writers out there, the biggest thing you're gonna need is patience. You aren't going to build a base of readers over-night. Worry more about your craft than blog hits. Yes, we all love when people visit the blog and even more when there are comments and interactions. However, you must continue to improve and learn your craft. Focus on the writing- not on trends and 'how to sell a million books.'

I would say this to all artists - put yourself out there more. Interact, be social - there is a big world waiting to read your stories, see your art, listen to your music. However, sitting back and waiting for lightning to strike isn't a business plan. Make contacts with other indie artists, - form a network of like-minded small-business people and get the ball moving. In a very cliche way - SEIZE THE DAY.

Don't tell me you're going to do a,b,c tomorrow - start the journey right now. Pick up your pen or your guitar or your brush and get to making art. Life is busy passing you by...grab it.

So, tell me - what can you do TODAY to jump-start your dream?

From Vegas,

Stephen John Moran
