Updating an earlier chart, after a significant rally into the close - SPY finished ABOVE the 50 Day Moving Average, reversing the big breakdown of yesterday. Does the GDP number that caused the reversal mean we will shoot back upward? We shall see next week.
Yesterday's big sell-off pushed the S&P 500 below the 50 Day Moving Average for the first time since August. Will this turn into something more? Or will the bears once again run out of energy? The snap back rally hasn't happened today, meaning we will likely finish the week below the moving average, giving all traders something to stew over during the weekend.
A group of about 100 protesters clashed with police when Chief Tom Jackson tried to interact with residents after a video apology to Michael Brown's parents and an interview with CNN. He maintained he will not resign, which enraged some of those protesters that the Chief attempted to march with. You can see in the Vine video attached the tensions begin to rise by his very presence. I'll continue to follow this story as developments arise. This is a massive shake-up in the bond world as Bill Gross announces he is leaving Pimco, the company he founded, immediately for Janus Capital Group. The move is stunning and CNBC reports that Pimco was going to fire Gross for 'erratic behavior' as soon as today.
Pimco is a bond King in the market and this news can't be good for the flagship Total Return Fund that Gross oversaw, which has some 3 trillion dollar in assets under management. For full disclosure, I have most of my bond money with Pimco and plan to divest this money out of the company on this news. LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF BERNADETTE CYNTHIA HEALY EPISODE 23 'Yes, indeed. I had wanted to speak to Mr Moore alone, but he wouldn't oblige until you had arrived, you have very loyal staff here Mrs Davidson.'
'Well it is customary to make an appointment, and anything out of the ordinary, and anything particularly on such a personal level would certainly require my presence. Please, let's go to one of the conference rooms and discuss this in a more relaxed manor. Would you prefer tea or coffee Mr Hayworth?' 'Neither, thank you.' I usher the intruder into our smallest conference room. Keith and I have shared several glances and he's made me aware that he's read the gist of the email I sent him, but still feels a little too in the dark to make a contribution to the conversation. He's very astute and knows that I'm going to play a game with this Mr Hayworth, who has turned up unannounced and with very little reason. We both take a seat and I ask Keith to bring some water and biscuits. Considering I never feed my guests or clients on site, always arguing that it seems unprofessional, I hope he realises I'm giving him the opportunity to read through the rest of the email I sent him. Mr Hayworth opens his briefcase and pulls out a thin folder, placing it on the table in front of him. He doesn't say anything, only opens the folder and pulls out three separate pieces of paper. I recognise the watermark from Bernadette Cynthia Healy's Last Will and Testament, of course this would be the type of firm to waste money on expensive letterheads. 'Would you agree that you received the Last Will and Testament of Bernadette Cynthia Healy on Thursday last week?' 'I would agree, because I cannot argue with the facts,' I wonder what Mr Hayworth's intention is or whether he is merely a distraction. 'And what have you decided to do about the request written in the Will?' 'I sent a detailed response to Mr Nelson by email last night. If he hasn't deigned to share the information with you, then neither shall I.' I watch as he makes a note on one of the pieces of paper, but he doesn't respond to my answer. 'And may I ask your relationship with Ms Healy? Before she died, that is.' 'I don't see how that is relevant to the situation.' 'At Summerbees we like to protect our client's best interest, and because there is a, how shall I put it, considerable sum of money at stake, we like to make sure we know exactly who our clients have put their trust into.' 'Oh you mean,' I look through my own documents and read out, 'the property in Chelsea, its contents, a 1974 Jaguar E-Type V12, and a second property on the outskirts of Glasgow.' 'Exactly,' he does a rather extraordinary sniff and I wait for him to look for a tissue or a handkerchief, but he does nothing of the sort, only scribbles down a few more notes. 'As far as I'm aware, the contents of the Will are purely for the benefactors, but what would I know? I only practiced law for five decades.' 'Indeed Mrs Davidson, however, because you are only a benefactor if certain expectations are met, we have to ascertain who would inherit the large sum of wealth should you fail in the late Ms Healy's request.' I can't believe the amount of visitors each day and I'm truly amazed when I check traffic in the morning to see how many visited while I slept. I thank all of you and hope you find entertainment and thoughts on trending and important topics.
