To all that follow my blog, you know I've posted about Equal Marriage every step along the way as states made the decision to allow marriage or were forced to do so by court decisions. Today, we have the granddaddy of them all - the Supreme Court of the United States of America ruling to make Equal Marriage legal in ALL 50 States. No longer can hate deny love its day.
From coast to coast there will be celebrations - especially in the states that had stubbornly clung to their equal marriage bans. Well, today - that is all over.
In a general way - progressive folk made strides this week. The confederate flag is coming down and equal marriage will sweep in to replace that hate. There is still a long way to go on the road to complete equality, but today is a good day. Celebrate. Hug someone you love. At the end of the day - Love is all there is in the world.
