Today I will give updates on the proposed schedule for the next few releases from Moran Publishing. In the last few posts, I've talked about my plans to publish Preface to a Suicide. I'm hard at work on draft four of this novel and will soon send the manuscript to the editor to begin the publication process. However, I believe this process will take a few months and do not want to force readers to wait until almost summer for new fiction.
While Preface is in the publication process, I'm going to work on two story collections. The first to be published will feature stories about Scott Holden. Two of the major stories in this proposed collection will be 'Karl Marx, A Refutation' and a huge favorite from the previous blog - My Pet Dragon. This small collection will be released in both e-book and paperback editions. I do not have a timetable yet, but I am sending the manuscript to the editor within days - so I will know more early next week.
The next story collection will be an assortment of ELLA short stories, including the long-lost 'Square Picture Opiate, With Party', an important core ELLA story. I won't give any spoilers on this story, but promise it will be a real treat for readers that enjoyed the novel. Another story likely to be included in this volume - The Bank - the original copy could *not* be recovered and I will have to re-image the story as I remember it. This process will add to the time it takes to finish this volume, which is the main reason I'm putting the 'Scott Sage' first on the timeline.
That's the books news at this moment. Enjoy your day!
