It didn't feel 'real' until I could say the paperback was available. A few author friends of mine have commented on how little I've even mentioned the e-book on social media. Basically, I haven't. This may be my first official publication - but make no mistake - I grew up reading paperback novels. I couldn't really think of myself as published until I held 'the book in my hands'. Now I have. And I couldn't be happier with the product. It's officially FOR SALE!!!! I almost can't believe it.
It's been such a long, crazy journey to publication. In many ways, it's hard to believe that ELLA is the first publication from Moran Publishing and not Ray's Preface to a Suicide (which, ironically, is quoted several times in this book). The ELLA book belongs to a fictional world and while it's not a 'series' in the strict sense of books 1, 2, 3 etc - all of the books tap into the same well of characters, landscapes and indeed - story.
I'll tell more about how ELLA came into being and her place in the 'fictional world', which is centered at Holden Farms. For now - here is the link to my personal CreateSpace page - it's ALIVE!
