The first tells of the Pope continuing to rail against income-inequality with talk of re-distribution of wealth, a topic that causes so much conflict in our country. Read the article here at Think Progress. What do you think about this Pope? Do you believe his words can have any effect on the issue of inequality in the world?
The second story today comes from the New York Times - a sort of op-ed that attempts to explain the struggles of the great (or not so great) State of Rhode Island. This small state that I called home for most of my adult life suffers from being the small forgotten sibling of Massachusetts and the author of the article goes into more detail about the woes, focusing on Rhode Island's famous corruption and how little its residents enjoy living in the smallest state in the union.
The last story appeared in The Daily Beast with the provocative title of The Tortured Genius Just Can’t Help It, Or Why Scott And Zelda Went Mad.
This article is a treatise on the creative madness of the brain that often grips our most famous artists, the main focus being F. Scott Fitzgerald and the crazy state of relations with his wife, Zelda. For writers, this article may seem familiar or as if it were written about them in particular. Many writers struggle with trying to balance their fictional lives from the 'real' parts and I hope you enjoy this article.
More posts to come today. Enjoy your Monday.
